King Crab

Pseudocarcinus gigas

Found along the southern coast of Australia from Albany to the Tasmanian east coast at depths of greater than 200m. These crabs are known for their massive size being the second largest crab in the world to the Japanese king crab and are also known as Giant crabs. They have a distinctive red colour with 1 large claw and 1 smaller claw. Because of their spectacular size, colour, and taste these crabs are sought after all over the world particularly in China.


King Crabs are graded in sizes:

L       over 5kg
M     3-5kg
S       under 3kg
